What is the purpose of this site ?

This site is complement to the official web site for the TV Festival 2011. It provides videos taken during the festival. These videos are free of access, depending on the following conditions:

This site will propose new videos each day of the festival. There is one page per day providing the list of videos available.

For each video, you will be able to play a preview version of the video by clicking on the box on the left (note that you need to have a flash player installed on your computer to play the preview).

If you are a registered user, can download a broadcast version of the each video (HD 1280 x 720 / 50p - H264 ACC). To do so,you have to log in the site (using the Login button on top of the page). Once you are logged in the site, you will see a link below the preview box that will take you to the page where you will be able to download the video.

Registration

If you are not a registered user, you can try to register by filling the Register form (using the Login button on top of the page). Your registration will have to be approved by the TV Festival team before you gain access to the download area. You will receive the result of the approval process by email.

How can I know when new videos are available ?

While you register to the site you can specify whether you want to receive an email informing you when new videos are available on the site. You can change this setting by going to your profile (once you are logged in to the site).

I cannot play the preview video. What can I do ?

You will first need to make sure you have a Flash player installed and working. You can do so by going on the Flash player home page. From there, if you see the animation playing at the top of the page, Flash player is installed, if not you can follow the instructions to install Flash Player.

You can try to reload the page, the reload button on your browser (F5 for Internet Explorer, Ctrl+R for Firefox, ...)

You can check whether your firewall is blocking the video stream, by disabling it temporarily, the time for you to check whether you can see the preview. If you can see the video, check your firewall documentation or contact your firewall provider to define which setting should be change for you to access videos on our site.

You can check your browser settings, in case set a high security level which disable Javascript and/or Flash.

If your problem still persists, please contact us with as much information as possible (such as your operating system - Windows XP or Mac ... , your browser - Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox 3 ..., the adress of the page you have the problem, what do you exactly see and if you get an error message, what is the message).

Why does it take so long to download the videos ?

The downloadable videos are large files and depending on your network bandwith the download may take a long time (up to an hour or more).
